Springdale and Fayetteville were the first major school districts to announce they'll be closing classes on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
Rogers Public Schools also announced they will close on Tuesday.
More snow will hit Arkansas on Monday as a fast-moving disturbance sweeps through. Widespread bands of snow showers will mainly hit south of Little Rock, while flurries and some isolated heavier bursts are possible around Northwest Arkansas the River Valley.

Fayetteville: Due to current road conditions and the expectation of minimal improvement throughout the day, Tuesday, January 16th will be a snow day. All FPS schools will be closed.
Bentonville has announced it will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
Just across the state line in Sequoyah County, Muldrow School District announced they will also close classes on Tuesday.
In the River Valley, Fort Smith schools, Cedarville, and Mountainburg have canceled classes for Tuesday.
