What you need to know before the Northwest Arkansas Black-Owned Business Expo this weekend

At this year's event, titled "Unleashing the Power of Unity," the organizers' mission is to provide a platform for Black businesses.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The seventh Northwest Arkansas Black-Owned Business Expo will promote creativity, culture, and commerce at the Fayetteville Town Center on Feb. 24.

At this year's event, titled "Unleashing the Power of Unity," the organizers' mission is to provide a platform for Black businesses, helping them to further expand their clientele and providing the businesses with resources to continue to grow.

Not only is this a celebration of creatives across the diaspora, but organizers say the event is also a way to build "generational Black wealth" locally.

"Supporting Black-owned businesses isn't just a choice; it's a commitment to breaking down systemic barriers and fostering economic empowerment," the Black-Owned Business Expo's press release said. "The impact goes beyond transactions; it's about rewriting narratives, creating opportunities, and building a community that thrives together."

Businesses will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals, which could spark potential partnerships.

According to organizers, 900-plus people have registered to attend, and over 85 vendors, which are businesses run by men, women, parents, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, have registered to participate.

Tickets are still available but will be ending soon. For more information, click here

Unfortunately, business vendor registrations are closed, but Black-owned sponsorships are always available.
