Northwest Arkansas Food Bank now offers a 'find food map' for nearby resources

The food bank now has the find food map where Arkansans can plug in an address, neighborhood, city, or ZIP code to see what resources are nearby.

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank partnered with Vivery— a company that digitizes food resources— to help Arkansas communities access food, programs, and services near them.

"We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with the company Vivery to launch a state-of-the-art find food map that will make it much easier for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity to find the food they need," the NWA Food Bank said.

The food bank now has the find food map where Arkansans can plug in an address, neighborhood, city, or ZIP code to see what resources are nearby. The food bank's agency partners can customize their profile on the map to better communicate with the communities they serve.

"Each agency partner can customize their profile on our map that will allow them to create a website, send text message alerts to their clients, and post announcements such as closures, changes in their service model, and even give updates on items that are available at their pantry," the food bank says.

The Google-powered map is a better guide for community members to see which agency partner can best their needs, "whether that is dietary, distance, or even hours of operation."
