Baptist Health offering mammograms on second Saturday of each month in Fort Smith

Baptist Health recommends women start getting annual mammograms at age 40.

Baptist Health Breast Center - Fort Smith announced it is now offering mammograms on the second Saturday of each month starting this month. 

Baptist Health says patients can now schedule 3D mammograms or Automated Breast Ultrasound System, which are screenings for women with dense breast tissue. 

Here is a list of the screening dates available from 8 a.m. to noon:

  • Jan. 13
  • Feb. 10
  • March 9
  • April 13
  • May 11
  • June 8
  • July 13
  • Aug. 1
  • Sept. 14
  • Oct. 12
  • Nov. 9
  • Dec. 14

Baptist Health recommends women start getting annual mammograms at age 40. Those that have dense tissue, "should talk to their doctor or radiologist about their specific risk and any additional screening needed," Baptist Health said. 

Baptist Health Breast Center is located at 1500 Dodson Ave., Suite 140. You can schedule a breast cancer screening by calling 479-441-4100 and selecting option 3.
