Rogers daycare worker now charged in second sexual assault

Harlow, who was arrested last year for the sexual assault of a child, has now been charged in a second assault.

ROGERS, Ark. — A Rogers daycare worker accused of sexually assaulting a child is now charged in a second assault and has pleaded not guilty.

Dylan Lee Harlow, 22, was arrested on June 23, 2023.

Court documents say that Harlow had sexual contact with a one-year-old girl on May 11, 2023, and a two-year-old boy on June 2, 2023.

Harlow was originally arrested on one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a minor, in connection to the May 11 incident. During a hearing in March 2024, he was formally charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and pleaded not guilty.

Court documents say that on June 22, 2023, the Rogers Police Department received a hotline report from Arkansas State Police about a sexual assault in Rogers, with Harlow identified as the suspect.

A detective with the Bentonville Police Department spoke with the employee who submitted the tip. Court documents say she told police that she was in the room with Harlow and another teacher when she saw him inappropriately touching a child.

The employee told police that Harlow "appeared to be very focused and zoned in on what he was doing," the affidavit said. "When the employee made eye contact with Dylan, he appeared to be shocked that she saw him and he stopped what he was doing."

The employee said what she saw was sexual, and that Harlow appeared to get pleasure from it, according to the affidavit.

Harlow was interviewed by police before his arrest and denied the allegations.

Prosecutors tell 5NEWS that further investigation prompted probable cause for the second charge of sexual assault for the June 2 incident, but that the details of that incident are confidential due to the allegations of child maltreatment.

Harlow's next court appearance is set for July 23. He's currently out on a $50,000 bond.

Harlow was originally ordered to not have contact with any minors, but that was modified in October 2023 to allow supervised contact.

Additionally, court documents say Harlow has been ordered to not have contact with Arkansas Early Learning or any other daycare or school.

5NEWS reached out to Arkansas Early Learning asking if Harlow was employed there at one time but did not receive a response.
