FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — No. 1 Arkansas baseball (19-3, 5-1 SEC) fell to No. 23 Auburn (15-8, 1-5), 8-6, Saturday afternoon to close out the series.

Despite the loss, Arkansas won its sixth consecutive weekend series against Auburn and has claimed eight of the last nine weekend series dating back to 2015.

This loss also snapped Arkansas' 15-game winning streak, which was tied for its second-longest overall winning streak under head coach Dave Van Horn.

The Razorbacks got the scoring going in the top of the third off of a three-run home run from Jared Sprague-Lott. Kendall Diggs would add to the lead with a two-out RBI double in the same frame.

Auburn answered with a run of their own in the fifth. Diggs returned the favor in the next frame with a triple that scored Peyton Stovall to give Arkansas a 5-1 lead.

Auburn's big inning came in the bottom of the sixth after plating six runs to take a two-run lead.

On the mound, southpaw Mason Molina went five innings allowing one run on three hits and struck out four.

Arkansas is back at Baum-Walker Stadium on Tuesday to host Little Rock to kick off a 10-game homestand. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. on the SEC Network+.
