Deifel earns 300th win at Arkansas, #20 Razorbacks sweep Auburn in Saturday doubleheader

Pitcher Morgan Leinstock allowed one run on four hits in seven innings against Auburn Saturday afternoon.

AUBURN, Ala. — No. 20 Arkansas softball (22-5, 2-0 SEC) sweep Auburn (13-6-1, 1-4) in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon. 

Game 1 score: 

Arkansas - 6, Auburn - 1 

Morgan Leinstock went the distance giving up only one run on four hits and punched out ten in seven innings of work. Bri Ellis and Hannah Gammill both hit home runs in the first inning. 

Game 2 score: 

Arkansas - 5, Auburn - 1

Kennedy Miller smashed two home runs and Ellis hit her third of the day to help the Razorbacks have a steady lead. 

Southpaw Robyn Herron made her 10th start in the circle going 3.2 innings allowing one run on four hits and struck out four. 

Arkansas closes out the series Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. on the SEC Network+. First pitch was moved up due to forecasted inclement weather coming into Auburn.
