FORT SMITH (KFSM) – Authorities said a pedestrian is injured after a hit-and-run accident in Fort Smith Friday morning (Aug. 22).
Officers on scene said it happened on North 4th and North F just after 8:30 a.m.
At this point, more information about the driver who hit the pedestrian is not available. However, Sgt. Daniel Grubbs with Fort Smith Police said they do have a suspect description, and are currently working to find the driver.
The pedestrian is now being transported by ambulance to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to officers on scene. Authorities have not released her identity at this time.
