86-year-old man dies after being hit by vehicle at crosswalk in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — An 86-year-old man has died after being hit by a vehicle on a crosswalk in Clarksville, according to the Arkansas State Police.

The report states the crash took place on Monday, April 29, at around 8:34 p.m. 

Officials said a 2008 Mazda was headed south on North College Avenue when it struck the man as he was trying to cross a crosswalk. Although the driver of the vehicle was reportedly uninjured, the pedestrian died as a result of the crash.

The man was identified as Marvin Bean of Clarksville, the report said.
