Benton County power outage that left almost 2,000 customers without energy has been fixed, according to official

Cory Smith with Carroll Electric stated that the outage has been fixed, and that it was likely caused by high winds.

BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — According to the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, 1,832 Benton County residents with Carroll Electric Cooperative Corp. were without power as of 11:24 a.m. on April 3, but the map now shows only 62 residents without power.

There are reportedly around 81,000 total residents who employ Carroll Electric throughout Benton County.

Cory Smith with Carroll Electric said the outage was likely caused by high winds and was fixed before noon on April 3.

Carroll Electric Cooperative also covers about 13,000 customers in Carroll County, with less than 10,000 customers in Madison and Newton counties. The company also covers two counties in Southern Missouri, on the Arkansas-Missouri state line.

Parts of Bentonville and Rogers are also experiencing water issues after a waterline ruptured on the evening of April 2.
