SCOTT COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — Arkansas State Police says that a Scott County homicide is currently being investigated.
According to a release from ASP, the Scott County Sheriff's Office requested that state police investigate a homicide that took place on March 20 in Waldron.
SCSO responded to a call around 5:45 p.m. and found Russell Lewellen, 69, had been shot multiple times. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
A 34-year-old Waldron man has been arrested and is accused of first-degree murder.
