ROGERS, Ark. — The Music Depot in Downtown Rogers is set to reopen on Friday, March 15 after being closed for renovations last fall.
As the music venue makes a comeback, it promises new amenities including a vault bar, drink menu and new bathrooms.
Although The Music Depot says it's a traditional jazz and blues club, the venue said it will host a variety music genres including rock, hip hop, soul, and funk, among others.
The venue also said it will be focusing on "educating and serving music students." To do this, it plans to host
- Open jams
- Workshops
- Clinics
- Art residencies
Music Moves Program Director, Anthony Ball said "Music Depot will fill a gap in the music ecosystem for an intimate venue with great local and touring band musicians in our region. Our region is becoming an attractive market for musicians to add to their tour schedule, because of our great appreciation for arts and culture."
The first show, "A Night of Jazz with Tom Braxton & Michael Fields Jr" will be held on Friday, March 15 from 7-9 p.m. The Music Depot is located at 206 W. Walnut St. Rogers, Ar.
