Snow impacts morning traffic across Arkansas

Snow falls in the early morning, causing multiple crashes and impacting traffic.

WINSLOW, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Transporation (ARDOT) is reporting several traffic impacts in 5COUNTRY amid the severe weather in the early morning of Jan. 5. 

Snow is currently covering major highways and roads as traffic works to get through reported crashes. 

Here are some of the crashes reported this morning:

  • Crawford County: 
    • Crash impacts Eastbound traffic on I-40
    • Crash impacts Northbound traffic on State Hwy 59
  • Benton County: 
  • Washington County: 
    • Crash vehicle impacts Southbound traffic on I-49 near Bobby Hopper Tunnel
    • Crash impacts Eastbound traffic on U.S. Hwy 62
    • Crash impacts Northbound traffic on I-49
  • Franklin County
