John Calipari's son named Razorback assistant coach

His new position with the Razorbacks will not be the first time working with his father.

ARKANSAS, USA โ€” Arkansas head coach John Calipari announced his son will be joining the Razorback men's basketball program as the assistant coach and director of on-court player development.

Before coming to Arkansas, Brad Calipari worked in player development at Vanderbilt University for one season and at Long Island University in Brooklyn for another season.

As the director of on-court player development at Vanderbilt this previous season, Brad helped the SEC's top scorers, Erza Manjon and Tyrin Larence.

At Long Island, he worked as the director of player development where he worked alongside head coach and former Nicks player Rod Strickland

His new position with the Razorbacks will not be the first time working with his father. Brad worked as a graduate assistant for the Kentucky men's basketball program where he earned his master's in sports kinesiology.

Brad also played for his father from 2016 to 2019. During his time with the Wildcats, he was a part of the teams that made two Elite 8s and one Sweet Sixteen appearance.

He concluded his collegiate career at the University of Detroit Mercy where he played two seasons.
