Arkansas began the season ranked number one in college baseball because of their pitching staff.

The Razorbacks’ season came to an end because of two bad pitches.

Kansas State scored the tying and eventual winning runs on wild pitches in the 7th inning as they took down Arkansas 4-3 in the Manhattan, Kan. regional.

Arkansas scored three runs in the first inning but could find no offense after that point. Brian Anderson had a two run single then Matt Vinson followed with a RBI single.

Kansas State crawled back into the game in the fourth as they scored a pair of runs but a diving catch by Tyler Spoon in right field kept Arkansas in front.

Arkansas finished the year 39-22 but a disappointing 2-2 showing in Manhattan will leave a bad taste in the mouths of Razorbacks fans.
