Razorbacks freshman poured in 19 points in first appearance with Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - Jimmy Whitt made the most of his first appearance for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Then he fouled out.

The highly recruited freshman poured in 19 points in just 23 minutes before fouling out of Arkansas's 103-58 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State inside Bud Walton Arena.

Whitt was 7-of-12 shooting and added four assists in the Razorbacks' first exhibition game. Anthlon Bell had a game high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting and hit 5-of-7 from 3-point range.

The Bulldogs struggled against the Arkansas defense as they shot just 30.9 percent (17-of-55) and had 24 turnovers. Arkansas was 54.8 percent from the field.

Moses Kingsley, who shined in preseason scrimmages, had just eight points and nine rebounds on 2-of-10 shooting. Transfer guard Dusty Hannahs had 14 points off the bench in his first contest with the Razorbacks after sitting out last season due to NCAA rules.

Trey Thompson had 13 points for the Hogs while both Keaton Miles and Manuale Watkins finished with 10. Collin Jennings led SWOSU with 11 points.
