Gymbacks place sixth at the SEC Championships

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — Arkansas gymnastics had a historic day posting a score of 197.050 at the SEC Championships. 

This is the first time the Gymbacks have scored a 197+ at the SEC Championships, a new program record. The history did not stop there as the team also set new SEC highs on bars and beam. 

Arkansas also had three top ten finishes of the day with Cami Weaver and Hailey Klein tying for eighth on beam with a score of 9.925. 

Maddie Jones scored a 9.900 on floor which landed her in a 10-way tie for seventh. 

LSU came in first wit ha score of 198.075 with Alabama and Kentucky right behind. 

Arkansas is set to host the NCAA Fayetteville Regional April 3-6 at Bud Walton Arena. The Gymbacks will learn its seeding during the NCAA Gymnastics Championships selection show on March 25th at 11 a.m. on NCAA.com.
