SPRINGDALE, Ark. — According to a release by the Springdale Police Department (SPD), a 2-year-old girl has died after being hit by a vehicle.
SPD said this happened on Tuesday, March 12, at around 4:55 p.m. on Braxton Avenue.
When SPD officials arrived, they found the 2-year-old with life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital but later died.
The investigation revealed a man was backing out of a driveway when he hit the child. SPD officials said the man stated he didn't see the child.
SPD said it is believed he was not impaired when this happened. Although no charges are expected for the man, SPD said this is still under investigation.
