Primrose preschoolers donate almost 700 canned goods to Samaritan Community Center

Primrose School of Rogers at Pinnacle Hills donated 692 canned goods to the Samaritan Community Center in Rogers to help feed families this holiday season.

ROGERS, Ark. — A pack of preschoolers from Primrose School of Rogers at Pinnacle Hills donated 692 canned goods to the Samaritan Community Center in Rogers to help feed families this holiday season.

The preschool in Rogers joins Primrose schools nationwide in the annual Caring and Giving Food Drive to teach children to give without expectation

"Nurturing generosity in young children is an investment in the future of our society,” said Jo Kirchner, CEO of Primrose Schools. “At Primrose Schools, we believe that teaching children the value of giving, sharing, and caring is a cornerstone of early education. And, by educating children to be service-minded and to give without expectation, we are working together toward a brighter future of caring, community-oriented citizens."

This drive also encouraged children to help their parents or guardians around the house to earn allowance money and use the money to buy canned goods.
