(KFSM) — The U.S. Marshal Service is looking for two federal inmates who escaped from the Jefferson County Detention Center.

Chris Sanderson, 34, and Wesley Gullett, 30, escaped from the detention center apparently overnight. U.S. Marshals received the call about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 31), according to our Little Rock affiliate THV11. Authorities said at least one of the inmates used a dummy in his cot as a decoy in his escape.

Lafayette Woods, Jr., sheriff of Jefferson County, said checks were not done properly and claimed it was out of "laziness," giving the inmates time to escape. He said an internal investigation is underway to ensure it doesn't happen again.

The U.S. Marshals are offering rewards of $10,000 and $5,000 for information leading to the apprehension of the two escapees.

Gullett, nicknamed "Bad Company," was arrested back in February along with 53 others in a roundup of members of a white supremacist group accused of a series of violent crimes.

Gullett was said to be a member of the New Aryan Empire, whose members were accused by federal investigators of trying to kill an informant and stabbing and maiming two other people suspected of cooperating with law enforcement, according to the February indictment.

Gullet has brown hair, brown eyes, stands at five-foot-ten, and weighs 210 pounds. His federal charges include aided and abetted attempted murder in aid of racketeering, aided and abetted assault with dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute methamphetamine, and conspiracy to violate RICO.

Sanderson has brown hair, blue eyes, stands at six-foot-ten, and weighs 250. He is charged as a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. His previous convictions included delivery of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance, and theft.

Gullett and Sanderson are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on the two is asked to call 911 right away or the U.S. Marshals at (501) 324-6256.
