FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Washington Regional Medical Center will be gaining a Ronald McDonald House, the company announced on Tuesday (May 3).
This will operated by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkoma, and it is first of the facilities coming to Northwest Arkansas. Arkoma operates four programs.
This Ronald McDonald House is expected to provide for an estimated 1,500 families each year, letting them stay in a 5,600 square foot space on the top floor of the hospital.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for family members who have hospitalized children. Each of the six bedroom suites has a full bath, laundry room, kitchen and a fully stocked pantry, dining room and playroom.
None of the families who stay in the Ronald McDonald house will be charged for their stay.
