FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Rep. Justin Harris, R-West Fork, has asked Speaker of the House Jeremy Gillam, R-Judsonia, if he can step down as vice chairman of the House Committee on Aging, Children and Youth and Legislative and Military Affairs, officials say.
This request comes after recent news stories about Harris re-homing two adopted daughters, including one who was sexually abused after he sent them to a home in Bella Vista.
Harris told 5NEWS he has no plans to resign from his position as representative of House District 81.
