FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Police Department is asking residents to avoid areas that have been inundated with water.
People in the area that area sight-seeing, taking pictures or other activities can hinder emergency operations and complicate recovery efforts.
The police will be conducting patrols of all flood areas and will take action against those that ignore barricades.
