FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Fayetteville police have arrested two people linked to a shooting Sunday (April 15) night near Buffalo Wild Wings.
Uriel Rodriguez-Vargas, 22, of Springdale and Ariana Cuevas-Bahena, 19, of Fayetteville were arrested after Cuevas-Bahena said she fired at four men who attacked her boyfriend about 10:48 p.m. in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot, according to a preliminary arrest report.
Cuevas-Bahena said she held a gun from the window of Rodriguez-Vargas’ Jeep and one of the men shouted that they were leaving.
Cuevas-Bahena said she fired two shots in to the ground to scare the men, according to the report. Police said there were no injuries.
A few hours before the alleged shooting, Rodriguez-Vargas and Cuevas-Bahena were accused of robbing a man on Huntsville Avenue in Springdale.
The man said he planned to buy a gun from Cuevas-Bahena that he’d seen on Snapchat. But when he went to get the gun, Rodriguez-Vargas came to the door instead, forced his way in at gun-point and attacked him, according to Springdale police.
The man said Rodriguez-Vargas stole $200 in cash from him as well as his cell phone.
Rodriguez-Vargas and Cuevas-Bahena were being held Monday (April 16) at the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bonds.
They have hearings set for May 9 in Washington County Circuit Court.
