FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The arraignment hearing for two Arkansas basketball players and another former player has been postponed to Sept. 2, 2015.
Anton Beard, 19, Dustin Thomas, 19, and Jacorey Williams, 21, were arrested July 22 on suspicion of forgery. They were scheduled to have their hearing Monday (August 24) at 7:45 a.m.
Williams is no longer a member of the basketball team after head coach Mike Anderson announced Williams was not returning to the program. In addition, Williams had been connected to two assault incidents.
Williams, Anton Beard, 19, and Dustin Thomas, 19, were seen in surveillance footage using counterfeit $20 bills, according to an arrest report. Beard also asked a store clerk to exchange six counterfeit $50 bills for three $100 bills, and the clerk did so according to the report.
Thomas and Beard remain indefinitely suspended from the team.
