Police: Two dead in Springdale shooting

The Springdale Police Department reports they are investigating the shooting as a possible murder/suicide.

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — According to the Springdale Police Department (SPD), two people are dead after a shooting on the evening of Jan. 10.

SPD confirmed that police responded to an address on Don Tyson Parkway, where they found Charles Owens, 56, dead, and Sean Rokey, 50, injured. Rokey was transported to a local hospital where he unfortunately died, according to police.

SPD says both bodies are being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsies. 

"We believe this is an isolated incident, and there's no threat to the general public," said SPD Public Information Officer Matt Ray, who also reports that the shooting is being investigated as a possible murder/suicide.
