ARKANSAS, USA — Hillshire Farm announced a recall of 15,876 pounds of sausage on Monday, Sept. 4.
The sausage being recalled is the 14 oz "Smoked Rope Sausage" package, according to the release.
The recall is due to customers reporting "small bone pieces" found inside the sausage. Hillshire says "out of an abundance of caution, the company is recalling this product."
The recalled packages were produced in a single location on June 14, 2023. If you have purchased this product you should check for the following:
- 10000033916/UPC Code 44500 34171
- Establishment code M756A
- Use by date November 11, 2023
- Timestamp EST. 756A 20 19:00:00 through 21:59:59 or EST. 756A 21 19:00:00 through 21:59:59
- Hillshire says product cases may be identified with code: 1653HSM02, printed on the exterior of the label.
