BELLA VISTA, Ark. — Bella Vista's Evelyn Eales is 104 years old, but due to being born on Feb. 29, is only now officially celebrating her 26th birthday. Her birthday wish? A motorcycle escort through the scenic city.
The Summer Fun Run Motorcycle Club accompanied Eales, providing the five-star treatment she deserves.
Eales, who has lived in Denver, St. Louis, and Topeka said the beauty of Bella Vista was what brought her to Arkansas, "I used to call them Arkies, now I call them friends."
When asked about the ride, Eales said she's "wanted to go on this ride for 104 years ... I loved it! I waved at everybody along the way."
Eales advised people wanting to live a long and healthy life to "Live it up ... I drink wine every day, I hope Franzia sends me a carton of wine ... Enjoy life when you have it, I don't regret anything I ever did."
The trip was funded by Angels Paying It Forward, a group of 500 women who fund support wishes for patients with Circle of Life Hospice.
When asked why she wanted to ride on motorcycles for her birthday, she said "I have no idea. I guess I'm just a daredevil."
