TULSA, Okla. — The women's basketball season came to a close Thursday night as the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes handed them an 80-62 defeat in the opening round of the WBIT.

Tulsa led the Razorbacks from start to finish thanks to a 15-2 run to start the game and a 22-7 first quarter.

Arkansas was in catch-up mode from there, but could never quite get traction as the home team pulled ahead by as many as 28 at one point.

The two silver linings for the Razorbacks in the loss were Maryam Dauda posting a career-high 22 points and Makayla Daniels scoring double-digit points for the 100th time in her career.

The Razorbacks finish the season 18-15 and will now look to begin reloading for next years campaign as they will be without key pieces such as Daniels, Saylor Poffenbarger and Taliah Scott.
