FORT SMITH (KFSM)- Dozens of River Valley gun enthusiasts spent their Valentine's Day a little differently this year.
Couples gathered Saturday (Feb. 14) in Fort Smith to get their concealed carry license.
The event kicked off at 7 a.m. at Larry’s Pizza on Highway 71.
Class organizers said normally the class costs $50 for one person, but since it was Valentine’s Day they got a discount. It cost $75 for two people.
"This is just something they can do together,” class director Carla Wells said.
“As a husband and wife they can come together and find something that they both enjoy. Find a new hobby and this is something that they normally wouldn't go out and seek unless it was a special opportunity or if it's given to them. So it was just something they can go together and enjoy as a past time."
The event will wrap up at 3 p.m.
