Tuesday, September 9th marks National Teddy Bear Day. According to reports, the Teddy Bear is Named after President Teddy Roosevelt. He apparently was on a hunting trip in 1902 and refused to shoot a bear his guides had tied to a tree. The Washington Post ran a cartoon on the hunting trip, and hence, the Teddy Bear was born.
