Arkansas man arrested, charged after allegedly putting hidden camera in restroom used by juveniles

A Cleburne County man has been arrested and is being held on a $500,000 bond after he allegedly put a hidden camera in a restroom that was being used by juveniles.

CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ark. — An Arkansas man has been arrested by authorities in Cleburne County and is being held on $500,000 bond after he allegedly put a hidden camera in a restroom that was being used by juveniles.  

According to the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, 41-year-old Rustey Williams was arrested on March 11 and is being charged with rape, video voyeurism, sexual extortion, and possession of child sexual abuse materials. 

Authorities said that the arrest came after an initial complaint by Williams' wife, who alleged that she found a hidden camera in a bathroom that she and her children use. After discovering the camera, the wife told authorities that she feared that Williams was using it to "obtain nude photos of the juveniles." 

During the course of the investigation, Cleburne County authorities said that the wife also alleged to possibly being raped by her husband. 

Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for Williams' home based on evidence and statements, which is where they seized several undisclosed items from the residence. 

Following the search of the home, Williams was also located that same day. He was arrested, now facing several charges, and is being held on a $500,000 bond. 

Authorities said that the investigation is ongoing.
