FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - Some of America's top photographers plan to visit Arkansas in May to teach the tricks of their trade that helped them rise to the top. In a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Saturday (April 25), anchor Daren Bobb spoke to Melissa Jones with the
Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas
and Sean Kaiser of
Bedford Camera and Video
to talk about the
"Mid-America Photography Symposium."

This event will take place in the course of two days on May 16th and 17th in Eureka Springs. Jones tells us photographers, including one sponsored by Canon, will attend teaching workshops and classes. Some of those classes will teach people about macro and nature photography. In addition, they plan to shoot models in downtown Eureka Springs using the city's lights for ambiance.

Bedford Camera and Video is sponsoring the vendor fair, where the company plans to show the latest equipment.

May 1st is the deadline to sign up for the symposium, and it cost $150 to register.
