JOHNSON, Arkansas — Lauren Spencer joined the 5NEWS team as a multi-skilled Journalist in June 2023. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Journalism and Strategic Media, where she received a degree in journalism with concentrations in broadcast and advertising/public relations.
She is originally from McKinney, Texas, but liked Arkansas so much she decided to stay.
While at Arkansas, Lauren was a reporter and producer for UATV, the university’s student news show. She is also a former Razorback Diamond Doll, which gave her the chance to work on the field as a bat girl for the Arkansas baseball team.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys going on walks, reading, watching baseball, and calling the Hogs at any Razorback sporting event. She is so excited to begin her journalism career in a community she loves so much.
