High water blocking streets, causing traffic lights to be down in Siloam Springs

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — This morning, flooding from heavy rain has caused Main Street, east of Hico Street, in Siloam Springs, to be impassable. 

The Siloam Springs Police Department shared a photo showing a car stuck in floodwaters underneath an overpass. The driver's condition is unclear at this moment.

Emergency crews are working to remove the vehicle from the water and block off the roadway. 

Multiple parts of Siloam Springs have been impacted by flooding. 

Police in Siloam Springs say  traffic lights at the following intersections are out of service at this time:

  • East US 412 and Main Street
  • East US 412 and North Highway 59
  • East US 412 and East Main
  • AR Highway 16 East and East Kenwood Street
  • Cheri Whitlock and Lincoln Street

A torrential downpour has caused flooding across Northwest Arkansas this morning. If you see high water, do not attempt to drive through it.
