Warmer spring weather takes over 5COUNTRY

A warming trend through Easter weekend is expected, with widespread 70s likely by Friday.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — After a resurgence of winter Tuesday, we're focused on a warm up to closeout the workweek. We're tracking a quiet, sunny Thursday in the 60s. Warm southerly winds ramp up Friday, bumping highs into the 70s. Friday will be the windiest afternoon as gusts range from 25 to 35 mph. We'll remain breezing into early next week.

We will continue to warm through Easter weekend into the upper-70s! Our next cold front comes in Monday, bringing the chances of some isolated thunderstorms. We'll be working on that next storm chance as we get a bit closer.

Expect a brief cool down Tuesday and Wednesday behind the aforementioned cold front. Similar to this week, we'll see another late week warming trend into the following weekend.
