FROST ADV

Frost Advisories go into effect tonight into tomorrow morning for Washington, Madison, Carroll and Benton counties in Arkansas as well as Northeast Oklahoma.

First Frost Possible in NW Arkansas Tonight

The River Valley is not expected to get near freezing tonight or this weekend, but it will be chilly in the upper 30s and low 40s both nights.

Tonight may be the first time we dip below freezing this season in NWA. The average first freeze/light frost for NWA is October 18th, and we have yet to see anything officially at 32 since April 4th.

Our first freeze in NWA happened on Halloween last year, but has happened as early as Sept 24th and as late as Nov 11th.

First Frost Possible in NW Arkansas Tonight

Average first freeze for RV happens generally around Nov 5th, with our last sight of freezing temperatures this year happening on March 7th.

Last year we started November 2014 off freezing on November 1. Our first freeze has happened as early as October 8th and as late as early December.

We could see another round of chilly temperatures and possible frost again in NWA Sunday night into Monday morning, but still remain warmer than freezing in the River Valley.

Stay warm friends.
