Another freeze going into the first day of Spring

Cooler air continue to filters in to start this week, but we'll be warmer in the afternoon, Tuesday. Warming trend continues through midweek before more rain.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Finally, we have arrived to the last day of a long winter. Of course on the first day of Spring, we have another freeze in the morning! Temperatures will start off below freezing, before warming up by the time we get to the afternoon close to 70 degrees. Rain chances return going into Wednesday night and Thursday morning, which will cool us down once again.

A few isolated thunderstorms are possible Wednesday night into Thursday but overall not much to worry about. We will start to warmup going into this weekend, back into the 60s and 70s.

- North winds shift south | 5 to 10 mph

TUESDAY

- AM Freeze | 20s & 30s

- Highs in the 60s

- Southwest | Gusts 10 to 15 mph

A FREEZE FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING?!

It was certainly chilly this morning, and another chilly morning for the start of Tuesday is in store. Temperatures will drop below freezing again, before warming in the afternoon. High pressure starts to push East in the afternoon, bring winds up from the South. Highs expected to climb close to 70 degrees, but will most likely fall just short.

TWO RAIN CHANCES THIS WEEK

First rain chance comes in Wednesday night into Thursday, and another one towards the end of the weekend. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible Wednesday evening, but overall the threat is very low. Temperatures will drop significantly going into Thursday.
