Crawford County Courthouse damaged by severe storm

Parts of the roof were torn off, and water damaged the inside.

VAN BUREN, Ark. — Debris surrounds the Crawford County Courthouse after a strong storm with winds up to 90 mph hit Van Buren. 

Main Street in Van Burn was covered by downed trees and power lines. 

Metal debris from the roof of the courthouse is covering the lawn outside. 

The Crawford County Emergency Manager is asking Van Buren residents to remain home as crews work to clear roadways. 

The courthouse will be closed Tuesday due to the damage to the roof and water inside the building.
