BENTONVILLE, Ark. — A Bentonville Schools bus was stuck in high water near the exit 88 intersections of E Central Avenue and E Battlefield Boulevard this morning.

Emergency crews have been able to remove the bus from its tilted state.

The incident caused traffic to be backed up in the area.

One student and a driver were on board the bus when it slid off the road into the ditch. No injures have been reported from the incident, and the student was taken to class minutes later, according to Leslee Wright with Bentonville Schools.

Northwest Arkansas is being hit by a torrential downpour of rain this morning.

If you see high water while driving, turn around and do not attempt to drive through it.
