Cold rainy system ends with snow on Thursday

Rain will move into the area on Wednesday with temperatures above freezing. Any snow accumulation is expected to be minimal and on grassy surfaces.

This system is trending more towards a cold rain than anything else. Rain will begin to move into the area on Wednesday during the midmorning and afternoon hours. During the day on Wednesday the precipitation is expected to be all rain.

Snow chances will pick up on Wednesday night into Thursday but overall any accumulations will be minor.

Here's a look at the timeline of how this plays out.

In the wake of this system, we'll see colder temperatures briefly before a modest warm up heading into the upcoming weekend. Calm and quiet weather should persist for much of next week.
