Medical helicopter at scene of crash on I-540 near 64 interchange

A medical helicopter was seen on the side of the interstate near the crash at around 2:30 p.m.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Transportation alerted travelers to all southbound lanes being blocked on May 22 after a crash on I-540 near the 64 interchange.

The first update came from ARDOT at 2:12 p.m. about a crash blocking all southbound lanes at Exit 2A near Van Buren. A medical helicopter was seen at the site at around 2:30 p.m.

Traffic was observed being diverted onto 64 westbound at Exit 2A.
