OZARK, Ark. — Bridge preservation work on I-40 Tuesday (April 6) will send eastbound drivers on a detour.
According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT), eastbound traffic entering I-40 from Highway 164 at Mile Marker 47 will have to use the signed detour route south on Highway 164 to Highway 64 where drivers will travel east and enter I-40 at the Miler Marker 55 interchange.
ArDOT did not specify how long the detour would last.
Crews have been working on parts of I-40 in the Ozark area for months.
5NEWS will update this story when a timeline for the completion of the construction is given.
