Analysis and updates from Arkansas at Kentucky

6:53, 4th Quarter – Mobile QBs have always killed Arkansas and this might be the best (or worst) example because the pass game is no threat. Bowden with 125 and two TDs. Bowden just went 23 yards essentially untouched as Kentucky regains the lead. Wildcats 23, Hogs 20

10:35, 4th Quarter – Rakeem Boyd gave Arkansas the early lead as he scored on the second play of the game and he just gave the Hogs the lead again. Two yard touchdown run after a pair of big plays by Treylon Burks. The freshman receiver ran 12 yards on a busted trick play and then hauled in a 15 yard pass from higs. Arkansas 20, Kentucky 17.

11:27, 4th Quarter – Kentucky went backwards on their drive and a big punt return by Treylon Burks gives the Razorbacks great field position. They take over on the UK 29 after a 26 yard return. Hogs need points as they trail 17-13

0:00, 3rd Quarter – Ben Hicks has thrown for 30 yards on his first drive as Arkansas is near midfield as they head to the fourth quarter.

1:40, 3rd Quarter – Cleary Chad Morris had seen enough ineffectiveness from Starkel as Ben Hicks comes in at quarterback. On the first play, CJ O’Grady was called for holding so the Hogs are behind the sticks.

1:50, 3rd Quarter – Bowden gives Kentucky their first lead of the game with a touchdown pass. The Arkansas defense has struggled to contain the Wildcats rushing attack and that pass was a backbreaker. UK has 182 yards on the ground. Wildcats 17, Razorbacks 13

9:35, 3rd Quarter – The Razorbacks got a much needed big play from their defense as Sosa Agim’s third down sack forced a fourth and long for Kentucky. The Wildcats then were charged with a false start but Ruffalo hit a 50-yard field goal. Arkansas 13, Kentucky 10

9:58, 3rd Quarter – Arkansas looked to get a much needed fourth down stop on the opening drive of the second half but Montaric Brown was flagged for pass interference. Kentucky gets a fresh set of downs inside the Arkansas 30.

5:48, 2nd Quarter – Connor Limpert banged home his second field goal of the day after the Razorbacks’ drive stalled inside the Kentucky 30. You won’t complain with points but Arkansas missed a chance to put some distance between them and the Wildcats. Arkansas 13, Kentucky 0

4:20, 1st Quarter – Apologies for the lack of updates. The news gets in the way sometimes. Arkansas just caught a huge break as Kentucky muffed a punt and the Hogs recovered, or did they? Jordan Silver came out of the pile with the football but the officials awarded possession to Kentucky. The play is being reviewed. And the call stays with Kentucky.

14:18, 1st Quarter – It took exactly two plays for Arkansas to get to the end zone as Rakeem Boyd broke free and raced 74 yards for a score. Best possibly start for the Hogs. Arkansas 7, Kentucky 0

Arkansas has not won a SEC game since the last week of October, of the 2017 season. Almost two calendar years.

The Razorbacks appear to have a chance at snapping that 13-game losing streak today as they are at Kentucky. The Wildcats are down to their third starting quarterback of the season because of injuries.
