Arkansas Razorbacks fall to No. 8 LSU Tigers

Final score: 34-10.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas Razorbacks fell to No. 8 LSU in Fayetteville on Saturday, Oct. 19, as the Golden Boot remains with the Tigers.

Final score: 34-10.

The Tigers got the ball to start the game inside a deafening Razorback stadium and immediately marched down the field to put up the first points of the game courtesy of a Caden Durham 22-yard touchdown run. Tigers lead 7-0.

After the Hogs received the ensuing kickoff, Taylen Green came trotting onto the field and seemed completely healthy after suffering a knee injury against Tennessee in the previous game. He had the offense moving effectively at first, but the drive stalled at the 24-yard line, and Arkansas had to settle for a 42-yard field goal, which missed the mark to keep it 7-0 LSU.

After the Arkansas miss the Tigers picked up right where they left off driving down the field with a time consuming march. However a few penalties and a bend don't break effort by the Arkansas defense kept LSU to just three points to make it 10-0 in favor of the visitors.

The Razorbacks needed a response on their next drive, but it lasted just one play as Rashod Dubinion fumbled the ball and the Tigers pounced on it on the 38-yard line to set themselves up in prime position to go up the three scores early in the second quarter.
