TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — The Arkansas men faced a daunting task. They hoped to rebound from one of their worst performances of the season by going on the road to Alabama, maybe the hottest team in the SEC. Things only went downhill from there, and the final felt more like football season, as Arkansas falls to the Tide 90-59.
Some good news came right before tip, as Justin Smith returned to the starting lineup, just 15 days after having ankle surgery. The initial prognosis was 3-6 weeks, but Smith clearly bounced back much quicker. That would be the end of the good news for Arkansas on Saturday.
The loss drops Arkansas to 10-4 overall and 2-4 in SEC play. Auburn comes to Bud Walton Wednesday at 8:00pm.
