FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Any momentum Arkansas might have gained with an emphatic win over Ole Miss on Thursday was quickly wiped away on Friday.

Ole Miss got three runs in the second inning and never trailed as they evened the series with Arkansas after a 5-4 win at Baum Stadium on Friday.

Andrew Benintendi blasted a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to close the gap to 5-4 but the Razorbacks got no closer as Tyler Spoon grounded out to the pitcher with the potential tying run on first in the ninth.

Trey Killian was saddled with the loss after allowed five earned runs in five innings of work while walking five and striking out six.

The Rebels and Razorbacks will wrap up the three game series on Saturday.
