Arkansas looked like they were headed for their third straight SEC win to close out the regular season but Missouri had other ideas.
The Tigers scored the game’s final 18 points as they pulled out a 21-14 win to clinch the SEC East title and a berth in the SEC championship game.
Brandon Allen was questionable heading into the game after injuring his right hip in last week’s 30-0 win against Ole Miss. The junior quarterback looked to be fine as he completed six of his first seven but struggled mightily. Allen finished the game 13-of-30 for 133 yards and two touchdowns.
The Razorbacks had a chance to tie the game in the closing minutes but a fumble by Alex Collins with just more than two minutes left sealed the win for Missouri.
Missouri dominated the second half, outscoring Arkansas 18-0, and did so with an effective blend of both the run and pass game. The Tigers rolled up 147 yards rushing while Maty Mauk threw for 265 yards with a score and an interception.
