4:03, 3rd Quarter – Arkansas gets back in the end zone as John Stephen Jones hit Mike Woods in the corner of the end zone to not only convert a fourth down attempt but Jones’ second TD pass in as many weeks. MSU 45, ARK 17
10:33, 3rd Quarter – Mississippi State routed Arkansas 52-6 last season in Starkville and they are well on their way to doing the same in Fayetteville this afternoon. Steven’s second TD pass gives them a 35-point lead. MSU 45, ARK 10
13:50, 3rd Quarter – New quarter. Same result. Arkansas starts the second half with another three-and-out with JS Jones starting the half at QB.
1:31, 2nd Quarter – John Stephen Jones takes over at quarterback but there was not change in the production. A three-and-out gives MSU another possession before the half and already leading by four TDs.
1:59, 2nd Quarter – Ben Hicks was picked off and taken back for a score. It’s ugly. Again. MSU 38, Hogs 10.
3:00, 2nd Quarter – Kylin Hill breaks another big run, this one goes for 58 yards as he already has 192 yards on the ground and the team has picked up 306 rushing in the first two quarters. Hill capps off another drive with his 3rd rushing score of the day. MSU 31, Hogs 10
5:00, 2nd Quarter – A Ben Hicks interception was overturned but Arkansas could not punch it into the end zone. Connor Limpert’s 40-yard field goal was good as the Hogs creep a little closer. Bulldogs 24, Razorbacks 10
5:56, 2nd Quarter – Arkansas catches a big break as MSU muffed a punt and Jordan Silver recovers for the Hogs as the Bulldogs’ 23.
7:55, 2nd Quarter – A pair of big plays quickly put MSU in the red zone and Kylin Hill capped the drive again with another TD run. He already has 144 yards on the ground with two scores. Bulldogs 24, Razorbacks 7
10:24, 2nd Quarter – The Hogs defense got the stop it needed and then the offense got the big play they needed. Boyd broke free for a 51-yard touchdown run up the home sideline as Arkansas shows some life. Boyd now has 79 yards rushing on just five carries. Mississippi State 17, Arkansas 7
11:31, 2nd Quarter – Arkansas desperately needed to get a defensive stop and they did just that as MSU picks up just two yards. Hogs will have great field position as they take over their own 40.
12:37, 2nd Quarter – Another drive and another three-and-out for the Hogs. Offense is doing nothing against State and the Bulldogs take over at their own 8 after the third Arkansas punt in the first 18 minutes of the game.
14:04, 2nd Quarter – MSU marched 68 yards in 11 plays but had to settle for a short field goal after TJ Smith made a play on third down to prevent QB Tommy Stevens from scrambling for a first down. 11:01, 1st Quarter – Rakeem Boyd broke a 22-yard run on the first offensive play for Arkansas but they picked up just three yards in their next three plays as the Hogs punt it away. MSU takes over at their own 20 after a touchback.
