Fort Smith (KFSM) – City leaders in Fort Smith will get an update on the clean up progress at the former Whirlpool factory site today.
This happening as Whirlpool submits their annual progress report to the City of Fort Smith and to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality. Whirlpool has been working to clean up the TCE contamination at their shuttered factory over on Jenny Lind. They are also working to sell the property.
Once the report is given to the city and the state, Whirlpool will make it available on their website.
